🎤 ARTIST BIO

The Spine Stealers are an eerie folk band fronted by singer-songwriter Emma O’Shea. Their songs conjure dark lakes, brain-burned nostalgia, and fractured memories. In just three years, they’ve quietly become a standout in the Midwest folk scene.

In 2023, they won the Blue Ox Band Competition and later appeared on the official Blue Ox lineup in 2025. They’ve been featured on Gems On VHS playlists and have supported notable acts including Chris Acker, Basia Bulat, The Last Revel, Them Coulee Boys, Dead Horses, Charlie Parr, Palmyra, and Arcadian Wild. Their second EP, Yellow Feather, and national touring schedule have solidified their growing momentum.
